Double Entrapment Accident in Concord Township

On Saturday at approximately 4 PM Concordville Fire Company was dispatched to an accident reported serious with possible entrapment. Upon arrival Medic 597A found two cars with six injured subjects involving entrapment in both vehicles. Rescue 59 and Engine 59-3 extricated the victims from both vehicles and assisted with patient care until additional medic units could arrive. All six patients were transferred to two different Trauma Hospitals and one non-trauma Hospital. Medic 104-7D, Medic 104-7, BLS 17-7A, Medic 66-7, Medic 100-a, 597 & Medic 597A were all utilized for 5 Advanced Life Support (ALS) patients and one Basic Life Support (BLS) transport. The Fire Department was no location for 90 minutes.

My parents, sister and two neighbors were in the SUV. Such a horrible weekend and more horrible time to come :(

I was the occupant in front passenger seat of the RAV 4. I would like to thank the women and men of the Concordville Fire & Protective Association for the quick response and great care they provided to my family, friends, the other cars occupant and myself.
