multiple alarm fire in Concord Township

By Assistant Chief Bob Vasek
November 16, 2017

On Thursday afternoon Company 59 was dispatched for a building fire reported to be working. First arriving units found a single family dwelling with heavy fire on the first floor. The fire would span over 6 hours, be elevated to a 2nd alarm and involve over 20 different fire companies. Firefighters had to be evacuated twice from the building during the fire due to structural integrity concerns. Chief 59 initiated a master stream operation, flowing three ladder pipes to extinguish the fire.
Concordville Fire Company would like to thank all of the companies who helped at the fire scene, stood by at our stations to cover locals while we were tied up on the fire and to the Fire Police who handled traffic for the entire duration.
