On Saturday September 19 Concord Township celebrated their annual Community Day event at the Township Park located on Smithbridge Road. Local restaurants and businesses hosted tents showcasing their food and products for residents to sample and purchase, live bands, DJ's, a classic car show and kids rides and games capped off by a great fireworks display rounded out the event. Concordvile Fire Company displayed Engine 59-3 a recently refurbished 2000 Pierce Quantum for the residents and their children to tour, Fire helmets for the kids were handed out to all of the children in attendance. As usual the hit of the afternoon was Sparky and his self propelled fire truck, who kept a running dialogue with each child who came up to him.
