Vehicle Accident with Fire

At 7:35 PM Tuesday evening Concordville Fire Company was dispatched to a second emergency for an Accident with reported entrapment and a truck on Fire. Crew from Rescue 59 and Medic 597A arrived on scene to find a 30 foot Box truck over the embankment with the diesel saddle tank on fire. Two Sport utility vehicles were also involved in the accident, all occupants were able to exit their vehicles prior to fire department arrival. The Crew from Rescue 59 extinguished the fire in the truck, neutralized the fluids on the highway and removed debris. Medic 597A & Medic 1047D transported two victims to Crozer, BLS 597B transported one driver to Riddle. 59-3 and Tanker 59 who returning from a building fire assist to New Castle county Delaware assisted at the scene. The Highway was closed for approximately an hour.
