Commercial Restaurant fire in Concord Township

On Thursday evening December 3rd at 6:15 PM , Concordville Fire Company was dispatched to a building fire in a commercial restaurant with a Ansel system activation. Chief 59, 59-9 arrived and found a smoke condition in the building and a fire in the duct work of a wood burning oven with extension to the roof structure of the establishment. The restaurant had been evacuated prior to fire department arrival. Tower 59 was in service at the rear of the building with an 1 3/4 inch hand line off of engine 71, Engine 59-2 went into service with an 1 3/4 hand line at the front of the building. Tower 46 and Truck 66 went into service on the Alpha side (front) of the building. a 5 inch supply line was laid to support the operation. fire damage was contained to duct work and roof area around the exhaust hood. Smoke was found in several stores along the shopping center. There were no injuries and the units were on location for 2 hours. The Fire is being investigated by the Concord Township Fire Marshal's Office.
