On January 12th Concordville Fire Company was dispatched to a report of a working house fire in Chadds Ford Township. On arrival 599 reported a large single family structure fully involved. 5 inch supply line was dropped by 59-2 in a driveway at the rear of the structure, additional 5 inch hose was laid to the front of the building by assisting companies. Because there are no fire hydrants in this part of Chadds Ford, a Tanker shuttle was required to supply the water needed for extinguishment. Tankers from Chester County Companies 36 (Po-Mar-Lin), 52 (Fame), 24 (Kennett Fire Company) 22 (West Grove) assisted Tanker 59. The building was a total loss and all units were on location for three hours. There were no injuries, the fire is under investigation by the Chadds Ford Fire Marshal.
