Fully involved house fire in Chadds Ford Township

At approximately 2AM on Tuesday morning Concordville Fire Company was dispatched for a building fire believed to be well involved. Engine 592 arrived to find a large single family dwelling fully involved with fire. All occupants had vacated the dwelling prior to the fire departments arrival. Engine 59-2 laid a 5 inch supply line at the entrance of the development, Tanker 59 and Longwood Engine 25-1 set up a draft from two portable tanks to supply the fire suppression activities. Tank trucks from Concordville, Chester County,and the State of Delaware shuttled water to the portable tanks to continue the supply for the fire fighting efforts. Longwood Quint 25 went into service with a master stream. PECO was requested to shut off gas service due to several gas fed fires in the dwelling. There were no injuries, the fire is under investigation by the Chadds Ford Fire Marshal.
