On Thursday morning at 6AM Concordville Fire Company was dispatched along with Company 66, 71 & RIT 23 for reported smoke coming from a apartment building. On arrival 592 reported smoke showing from rear of a three story apartment building. 592 laid a 5 inch supply line, and stretched attack lines to the structure where they had two decks on fire and furniture burning on the ground level patio directly below the involved decks. Because this was an outside fire, no alarms sounded within the complex, 592's Officer initiated evacuation of the building and suppression of the fire. Crews from 59,71,66 extinguished the fire before it could spread to the vinyl siding or interior of the structure.
There were no injuries, the fire is under investigation by the Concord Township Fire Marshal's office.
