Christmas Day Fire strikes home in Concord Township

Christmas day at 1:28 pm Concordville Fire Company was dispatched to a building fire in Concord Township, Fireboard upgraded the assignment to a working fire within minutes of the original dispatch. 59 Command arrived on location confirming a working fire, 59-2's crew along with Rescue 71's crew made an interior attach from side A for a working fire on division 2. Interior crews were backed out of the dwelling when the fire reached stored fireworks resulting in explosions in the room next to the origin fire room. Once the fire works were completely detonated crews again made an interior attack to extinguish the fire. The fire was under control after an hour, crews were on location for overhaul and extinguishment of hot spots for additional 90 minutes. the fire is presently under investigation by the Concord Township's Fire Marshal's Office and the Pennsylvania State Police. there were no injuries to firefighters or property owners.
