On December 27th, Concordville and mutual aid fire companies were dispatched to the 800 block of Naaman's Creek Road for a building fire. Engine 59-2 arrived on scene to find a two-story Single Family Dwelling with a well advanced fire present in the garage area and second floor of the home. The firefighters from Concordville, Bethel, Chester Heights, Rocky Run and Media used several hose lines for fire attack and were able to complete a search of the section of the building that was uninvolved with fire. The tragic result of this fire was that crews found one person deceased during suppression and overhaul operations. The Concordville Fire Company offers condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The investigation of this fire is being handled by the Pennsylvania State Police and Delaware County CID along with the Concord Township Fire Marshall's Office.
