During Saturday's snow fall Concordville Fire Department was dispatched to a wires call at Wilmington West Chester Pike and State Farm Drive. Upon arrival the first Concordville unit found your not so typical wires call. A snow plow with it's bed raised struck and became lodged under the street light arm of the north bound lanes of Route 202. The telephone pole that supplied electricity to the street lights snapped and was on fire. A tractor trailer tanker attempting to enter route 202 to go north bound from State Farm Drive became lodged in the wires that were lowered when the pole broke. Electric was out for several hours including the street lights at State Farm Drive and Oakland Road. there were no injuries to either driver or fire department personal. Take note to the picture of a second street light poles involved, it shows electrical arcing up and down the entire pole.
