Engine 592 a 2017 Seagrave Pumper gets it's first exposure to fire

This year we placed into service a new pumper to replace our "first out" response unit for most fire incidents. Engine The new Engine 592 is a 2017 Seagrave Maurader Type II Pumper. Seating for 6 firefighters. 2000 gpm pump and 1000 gallons of water. 6 pre-connected 1.75 inch and 1 2.5 inch hand lines. The engine will carry a full complaint of engine company equipment as well as CO meters, medical and AED. The pictures included in this news story show the first fire incident for the new pumper.
Thursday evening May 10th the Fire Department was dispatched to a dumpster fire located in the Concord industrial park. When Engine 592 arrived the crew found a dumpster well involved with an possible fire exposure to the building.
The next week, Friday May 18th the fire department was alerted to a fire across the parking lot in a wood working business. The fire turned out to be a compressor fire located in the basement which caused heavy smoke condition on both floors of the business.
Both fires were extinguished quickly with no injures.
