On Thursday October 31st sometime around 11:20pm a very strong storm past through our first due local, as well as neighboring areas. This storm spawned a EF2 Tornado. Over the next few hours we responded to multiple calls and received assistance from other local fire companies in handling all of them. This event was much more complex then a typical call response. As the day light broke on Friday morning the extent of the damage became fully apparent. There were multiple homes damaged and destroyed, trees were uprooted, some blocking roads and power was out in a large part of our communities. Thankfully there was only 1 minor injury for this event. This storm effected many family, friends and neighbors. Some within our own company. Our thoughts are with those effected by the storm.

The officers and membership of Concordville Fire and Protective Association would like to thank Chester Heights, Bethel Township, Aston Township, Longwood, Fame of West Chester and Brookhaven Fire Companies for their assistance during the over night hours. Also to Riddle, Parkside and Woodlyn EMS for their assistance with the evacuations. The City of Chester Bureau of Fire, Delaware County Emergency Services USAR team and Haverford Township Police assisted with tree removal on Friday Morning.

Pictures below are a snap shot of some of the damage.
