The Concordville Fire and Protective Association long term apparatus replacement plan called for the replacement of Rescue 59 in 2020. An Apparatus Committee was formed in 2018 and met for the better part of a year before they brought their recommended specs to the membership last fall. Approval for the purchase was given by the membership and the truck was ordered from Seagrave Fire Apparatus. The new truck will be a 2020 Seagrave Marauder HD cab and chassis, Seating for 6 firefighters, Cummins X12 500hp engine, High Side 3CR12ss Rescue Pumper body, 2000 GPM Waterous pump and Aquis Foam Proportioner, Hydraulic Generator, LED scene lighting, Inteleplex Multiplex wiring system, Rolltec safety system, 750 Booster tank, 30 gallon Foam tank. The new Rescue will be fitted out with the Hurst edraulic rescue tools. We recently received word that the new Rescue is set to start on the Seagrave production line, and we should start to see pictures of its progress. Delivery is anticipated for late summer or early fall of this year. We expect that the new Rescue will be ready for service once equipment is mounted and training on it is completed, this is expected to be before the end of the year. Keep watching our web site and social media sites as we will share pictures of the truck on the assembly line as we receive them. The current Rescue 59, a 2006 Pierce Quantum Rescue Pumper will be sold along with it’s full complement of Holmatro rescue tools closer to delivery of the new Rescue. |
