Commercial Fire Alarm in Concord

Shortly before 6pm this evening Company 59 was alerted for a automatic fire alarm at a commercial manufacturing facility in Concord Township. Upon arrival crews found that a machine inside the building had caught fire and had been extinguished by employees prior to the arrival of the Engine 592. The company then went into service with ventilation to remove the smoke condition from the facility before returning.
This is the second time in a little over a month that we have responded to a reported automatic fire alarm in a commercial building that proved to be a small fire. Thankfully due to the alarm systems and available fire extinguishers the damage in both cases was minor.
