This morning several members of the Fleming Fire Department Co. No. 1 from New York arrived at Station 59 to purchase the now retired Rescue 59. We placed our Pierce Rescue up for sale last month now that our 2020 Seagrave Rescue is in production. Last month, Fleming sent a group down to look over the Rescue and agreed to purchase it.
The Pierce Rescue 59 was purchased at the same time as the now retired Engine 592 and placed into service in 2006. Originally called Engine 594, the Pierce served at the primary rescue for our local for its entire career. Rescue 59 served us well in its time, we know it will serve the residents of Fleming just as well.
Pictures from Today and some of Rescue 59 during its time here with us.
