Just after 6am the company along with mutual aid from Chester County was alerted to a residential fire in Chadds Ford Township. Engine 592 arrived and found smoke showing and went into service with a hand line for fire suppression. 59 Command requested a tanker alarm, due to lack of hydrants and a second alarm (bringing additional units from Delaware and Chester Counties) for manpower. Fire was placed under control in just over 2 hours and the companies were cleared within 3 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chadds Fire Township Fire Marshals office. Thank you to the assisting companies and covering companies. |
