Just before 2:30pm on Friday afternoon Company 59 was dispatched for a brush fire in Concord Township. Brush 59 and Engine 593 arrived and found a large fire spreading rapidly. Hand lines were deployed for extinguishment and assistance from mutual aid was requested to contain and extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for just over 2 hours. Thanks to our assisting companies for their help.
Please remember that our townships have burn regulations. The weather has been nice the past few days and this aided in the spread of todays fire. For a full list of the burn rules please visit our website, www.Concordville.org and look under the public info tab for the township burning regulations.
