This weekend, Chief Griffin, Deputy Chief Vasek and President Weersing traveled to the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg Maryland, to take part in the PA Weekend. There they joined 185 other firefighters from around the Commonwealth to attend class. On Saturday evening they attended a service at the National Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial in honor of fallen firefighters from Pennsylvania.
While at the memorial, the members took time to visit the monument from 1992 to pay respects to one of our own. Concordville Fire Policeman Raymond Talley passed away in the line of duty back in 1992 after falling ill while operating at a fire scene. Mr. Talley is the only member of Concordville who has past away in the line of duty.
