| Concordville Fire Company was dispatched at 6:09 hours to a house fire in the 200 block of Harvey Road in Chadds Ford Township. Engine 59-2 arrived on scene to find a single family home with fire present on the exterior of the house that had extended into and above the garage area of the home. The firefighting crews from Concordville, along with the mutual aid Fire Companies, quickly deployed two hand lines, ground ladders, saws and several hand tools to contain the fire to the garage and the roof area above the garage.
There were several factors that contributed to the successful outcome of this incident, the most important being the resident's early activation of 911. |
