Accident with Entrapment in Chadds Ford

As rush hour was coming to a close Rescue and Ambulance Company 59 was dispatched to the 1700 block of Wilmington West Chester Pike (Route 202) for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Chief 599, Medic 597A and Rescue 59 responded shortly after dispatch. Medic 597A arrived and found a multi vehicle accident. Entrapment was confirmed and found to be in 2 different vehicles. Rescue 59 arrived and performed extrication while addition resources were requested. Engine 593 and Ambulance 597 also responded. Extrication was completed within 10 minutes of arrival of Rescue 59 and Rescue 25 was recalled prior to their arrival on scene. Units were on scene for just under an hour.
