Vehicle Fire in Concord

On Saturday March 14th at 2PM Concordville Fire & Protective Association was dispatched to a vehicle fire in Concord Township. Engine 59-3 arrived to find three over the road tractors fully involved with extention to a forth. Additionally a fully loaded 44 foot trailer was being inpinged by the fire. 59-3 Officer requested mutual aid from Chester Heights Fire Company station 71, and Bethel Hose Company Station 66 to assist. Concordville's Fire Chief arrived and assumed command requesting an additional response, Chester County Station 25 Longwood Fire Company. The Pennslyvania Department of Enviromental Protection, Delaware County Hazmat, Concord Township Fire Marshal, Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal were also called to the scene to assist. Besides four vehicles burning, extention to a loaded trailer and potential extention to the building, the firefighters had to contend with the 500 gallons of diesel fuel that was on fire and had the potential to create an enviromental issue. the Fire department was on location for four hours, there were no injuries. The cause is under investigation by the Concord Township Fire Marshal's Office & Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.
