Small Barn Fire in Thornbury Township

Saturday afternoon Concordville Fire Company was dispatched to a building fire with Numerous calls indicating a working building fire in Thornbury township. Concordville Fire Chief (599) arrived on location with a small barn fully involved, with a single family dwelling as an exposure. Engine 59-2 arrived first and laid four hundred feet of 5 inch supply line down the driveway. 599 requested a second alarm assignment due to the exposure and the fully involved fire building. Concordville was assisted by Bethel Hose Company, Chester Heights Fire Company, Rock Run Fire Company. Brookhaven Fire Company covered Concordville's station and handled two additional calls while Concordville was tied up on the barn fire. The companies were in service approximately 2hours. the Fire investigation is being handled by Thornbury Fire Marshal assisted by Concord township Fire Marshal's office.
