Upon arrival the crew from 59-2 found a heavy smoke condition in the unit reporting the fire. the building had been evacuated upon arrival and the crew stretched a three inch line to the second floor of the stair tower along with the high rise pack. The Thermal Imaging camera was used to locate the source of the fire. The fire was concealed within the wall of one of the bedrooms. After opening the wall identified by the Thermal imaging camera for the highest heat signature, the source was identified as an electrical fire in one of the stud bays inside of the wall. The crews were on location for 90 minutes, and there were no injuries to any of the firefighters. PECO and facilities maintenance staff assisted the fire departments in securing the electricity so that the tenants could reoccupy the unit.
