If you need an Ambulance, please call 911. Please give your complete address and the nature of the emergency to the 911 operator.
The Concordville Fire & Protective Association provides EMS (Emergency Medical Service) to Concord Township, Chadds Ford Township, Chester Heights Borough, Thornbury Township (Delaware County) and Birmingham Township (Chester County) east of Street Road. Our ambulances respond to nearly 5,000 emergencies each year.
We operate three ambulances, one ALS (Advanced Life Support) Medic transport ambulance, and two BLS (Basic Life Support) transport ambulances.
Our service is an emergency 911 service and we do not offer transport to facilities other than to hospital emergency rooms on an emergency basis.
A partnership with Riddle Hospital (Main Line Health System) to staff our ALS Medic unit reduces our staffing costs. Our BLS units are completely staffed by Concordville Fire & Protective Association EMTs.
Our ambulances typically transport to several area hospitals. Riddle Hospital, Chester County Hospital, Chester Crozer Medical Center, Wilmington Hospital, St. Francis Hospital (Wilmington DE), and A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children are within our service area and we will attempt to honor patients choice. Under limited circumstances, transports to hospitals beyond this area may occur however, the Paramedic and Medical Command Physician decide that on a case-by-case decision.
Concordville Fire & Protective Association bills patients for emergency treatment and transportation. Information on billing may be found under the heading Ambulance Billing. Information regarding our Ambulance Subscription may be found under Ambulance Subscription.
