The Concord Township Volunteer Fireman's Relief Association has been established for the purpose of providing volunteer firefighters, of the townships within the Concordville Fire & Protective Association coverage area, with protection from misfortune suffered as a result of their participation in the fire service.
The Concord Township Volunteer Fireman’s Relief Association is a separate legal entity from the Concordville Fire & Protective Association. Funds are provided through the annual distribution by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of foreign fire insurance tax premiums.
These fund expenditures are limited a few main areas.
Financial assistance to volunteer firefighters who may suffer injury or misfortune by reason of their participation in the fire service.
Financial assistance to the widow, children and other dependents of volunteer firefighters who lose their lives as a result of their participation in the fire service
Safeguards for preserving life, health and safety of volunteer firefighters to ensure their availability to participate in the fire service.
