Building Fire assist to Bethel Township Hose Company

On Friday evening July 28th just after 11PM while returning from a motor vehicle accident, Rescue 59 was given a copy and respond for a second incident. Bethel PD was on location for a home located in Bethel Township and were reporting a working structure fire with smoke showing. Company 59 was dispatched to assist Bethel Fire Company. Since Rescue 59 was only a 1/2 mile from the building fire location they arrived and laid 900 feet of 5" supply hose up the Driveway, Engine 66 completed the lay to the hydrant. The crew from Rescue 59 began suppression activities utilizing a 1 3/4 inch attack line entering through the front door. Deputy 66 had Incident Command. Bethel Fire Company was assisted by Concordville, Talleyville, Aston Township Fire Department, Upper Chichester Fire Department, Lower Chichester Fire Department, Claymont Fire Company, and Chester Heights, Cover Companies were Middletown and Brookhaven which both were requested to come to the scene to assist with manpower. Crews were on the scene for two hours.
