CONCORDVILLE – The Concordville Fire & Protective Association is proud to announce the new Utility 59 has been placed in service.
The new unit is a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 featuring seating for up to five firefighters, a lift gate on the rear of the truck’s 8-foot bed, a large toolbox for storage of firefighting equipment, and numerous LED emergency and scene lights. The new apparatus replaces a 2008 Ford F-250 that left the department in January.
Driver’s training on the Utility began after it returned from KML Transport for the installation of the emergency lights and sirens. Fitch Graphics completed the graphics on the unit, which included the stripe along both sides of the truck, lettering, and reflective chevrons on the rear of the lift gate.
Utility 59 joins the fleet alongside a brand-new ALS ambulance, as well as state-of-the-art Fire and EMS apparatus. The unit has already been utilized in the daily operations of the department and will be a valuable part of the fleet for a long time to come.
