Over the course of several days the area saw upwards of 5.5 inches of rain, a majority of which fell during the day on Wednesday. This caused several creeks to overflow onto roadways in our local. From 6pm Wednesday thru 4am Thursday morning the company responded to 6 water rescues along with 3 other emergencies. We would like to remind our residents that when you encounter a roadway covered with water do not attempt to drive through. It is difficult to tell how much water is covering the roadway. Thankfully no one was injured in any of our incidents. Thanks to Fame Fire Co of West Chester and Longwood Fire Co for their assistance with their water rescue teams.
