Deck fire in Concord Township

Units from Concordville, Chester Heights, Rocky Run, Media Fire Company (RIT) were dispatched to a reported working building fire at 4AM on Saturday April 23rd. Engine 59-2 was the first apparatus to arrive on location and found an attached deck on the bravo side of the single family residence well involved in fire. 59-2 laid 550 feet of 5" hose from the closest hydrant, and utilized 1"3/4 hand line to knock down the bulk of the exterior fire, The crews from Truck 46, Tower 59 Engine 71 utilized a second 1"3/4 hand line to handle the extension into the attic and basement area of the dwelling. Engine 71 took the Hydrant. The companies were on location for 2 1/2 hours. there were no injuries to the residents or firefighters.
